Greetings Faeblight
Since Beta 1, the core raiding group of <Altruistic Valorians> decided to call Faeblight home. We have had a great run since February 2011, and love what we’re doing.
Faeblight is a great community filled with awesome people – though some of you may agree that isn’t very hardcore in its raiding progression. With the release of SW:TOR, we began suffering a loss, as did most of Rift. When the going got tough, and lost many of our members, and did not have much success in recruiting…we decided that an alliance was the way to keep raiding, and that’s when we met <Silent Warriors>.
Alliances and mergers are very intimidating words for guilds in MMOs, and can drive even the greatest guilds into the ground.
Initially, i was terrified and skeptical. But, that lasted approximately an hour. <Silent Warriors> completely changed my outlook on alliances. <Altruistic Valorians> and <Silent Warriors> meshed perfectly. They are such great people, and combined we became an awesome raiding team. With our progression plateauing on 4/11 in HK before the alliance began, we quickly got our groove established and began progressing again. We’ve reached 9/11 in HK (hopefully 10 tonight, die Inwar!) and 4/4 in ROTP, and the members and leadership of both guilds get along great together.
With the sudden influx of players coming to Faeblight from other shards, and recruitment starting to pick up again, the leadership of both <AV> and <SW> have decided in its best interest to unite under one banner. So, this weekend, it was decided that the members of <SW> would join under the <AV> banner, and in return, the awesome community of Silent Warriros Gaming have accepted <AV> to become part of their community, and become their Rift Division.
We just wanted to inform the community and get the word out there that even though you may not see many <SW> tags on Faeblight anymore, they’re all still here, part of the <AV> family.
And, as an officer of <AV>, I am pleased to say that we feel privelleged to be integrated in a multi-gaming wide community filled with some of the friendliest, nicest people I have met online in a very long time.
One last thing, since we have some of your attention, we would like to give a warm welcome to all of the new bodies on Faeblight! It was *desperately* needed – it’s great to see the shard buzzing with life again as it was back in February.
We hope you all enjoy Faeblight as much as we do!
Screw SW:Tor, Rift rules!
